This week we’re taking a break from Annatar’s story to explore how Galadriel and Celeborn came to call Lórien home! Join us as we trace the surprising history of one of Middle-earth’s most beloved realms, from its many names and changing peoples to the famous golden mallorn trees that made it legendary. Along the way, we’ll untangle Tolkien’s ever-evolving geography, revisit the early journeys of the Elves, and discover how Khazad-dûm, Mirkwood, Fangorn, and even Númenor all played a part in Lórien’s story. It’s a map-heavy, lore-filled adventure that reveals just how much history can be hidden in a single Tolkien footnote!
