In this presentation, Dr. Bühler explains how the Nicene Creed affirmed Christ’s divinity, but failing to reflect the Jewish identity of Yeshua and the continuing significance of the Jewish people in God’s redemptive plan. The Jerusalem Affirmation seeks to complement the historic Creed by reaffirming the Church’s commitment to the Jewish people, rejecting antisemitism and encouraging a more biblical understanding of the relationship between the Church, Israel and the Jewish people.
