On this episode of The Journey Within Podcast, host Mark Peterson sits down with Dan Gates, Executive Director of Colorado for Responsible Wildlife Management, for an in-depth conversation about wildlife management, conservation, and protecting our rights as outdoorsmen and women to hunt and fish.
Mark and Dan reflect on Dan's unique journey, from demonstrating his taxidermy skills by skinning a bear and raccoon in the back room of a Cabela's to building a successful wildlife control business fueled by his lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. That passion ultimately led him to become one of the nation's strongest advocates for defending the future of hunting, fishing, and wildlife conservation. The conversation also explores the growing challenges posed by organized animal rights organizations seeking to restrict hunting, fishing, and the ability for families to sustainably harvest their own food.
Dan explains why it's more important than ever for sportsmen and women to get involved, stay informed, and make their voices heard at the ballot box. If you care about the future of our outdoor traditions and ensuring these opportunities remain for the next generation, this is an episode you won't want to miss. Your voice matters. Your vote matters. Enjoy the journey!
