Not every child who struggles with their faith will come to you with a list of questions. Some children become quiet. They internalize their doubts—and parents may never realize what is happening beneath the surface.

In this excerpt from the Schoolhouse Rocked Podcast, Chuck Black explains the danger of spiritual disorientation and how an unanswered question can leave a young person struggling with their faith.

He shares how parents can recognize hidden doubt, why family devotions should be more than simply checking a box, and how ordinary moments—especially conversations at the dinner table or at bedtime—can become opportunities to discover what is really happening in our children's hearts.

Chuck also explains why parents shouldn't be afraid of difficult questions. Instead, we should have the courage to pursue them, study the answers, and walk alongside our children.

Your child may not always tell you they're struggling. That's why we need to make space for them to open up.
