On the night of September 11th, while New York’s detectives were pulled toward the ruins of Lower Manhattan, a Polish immigrant gets lost on his way to a cleaning job and is shot dead on a Brooklyn street. Henryk Siwiak becomes the only homicide New York City records that day, but with no witnesses, no suspect, and a crime scene swallowed by history, the question of who killed him has remained unanswered for twenty-five years.
