Emily graduated from MIT with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Math. During high school, she won several math competitions, which later helped her get an internship at D. E. Shaw & Co. as a quantitative analyst. Before starting her PhD at MIT, Emily worked in the Google Ads group. Her PhD research focuses on applied machine learning.
