A Legendary Comeback: Martha Reeves on Rediscovering Her Voice in SEARCHING

After more than two decades, Martha Reeves, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame icon is returning with her first new album at nearly 85 years old, proving her influence, voice, and cultural impact are as powerful as ever. The new album SEARCHING, debuts August 14th, and the first single "To Know You Is to Love You," is currently available. The legendary Motown powerhouse whose timeless hits with Martha Reeves & The Vandellas include “Dancing in the Street,” “Heat Wave,” “Jimmy Mack,” and “Nowhere to Run.” Searching was recorded in New Orleans alongside acclaimed trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis and co-produced by Marsalis and Reeves’ longtime manager Chris Roe, the soulful, jazz-infused new album blends Motown, jazz, gospel, blues, and deeply personal storytelling. Ms. Reeves and her long-time manager Chris Roe share more details about the making of this long-anticipated album in this interview.
