Before entering politics, Steve served as an engineering officer in the Royal Air Force before working as an aerospace and software engineer. He later became one of Parliament’s leading advocates for free markets, lower taxes and sound money, giving him first-hand insight into how economic policy is made and why he believes Britain continues to repeat the same mistakes.
