In this series, I will talk about common idioms used in Taiwan. Today’s topic is “拍馬屁 pāi mǎpì”. It is used to describe someone who tries hard to please someone, especially someone in a position of authority, in a way that other people find unpleasant. －沒有固定的住所，與牛、馬、羊等飼養的動物不斷移動、尋找牧草
誇獎 ㄎㄨㄚ ㄐㄧㄤˇ / 夸奖 kuājiǎng / compliment
－對別人表達肯定、鼓勵
權力 ㄑㄩㄢˊ  ㄌㄧˋ / 权力 quánlì / authority
－可以掌控、控制別人的力量
認同 ㄖㄣˋ  ㄊㄨㄥˊ / 认同 rèntóng / acknowledge
－接受、同意
