About the Session:

Allie Szczecinski, SEL instructional coach and founder of Miss Behavior, shows teachers how to build a behavior system from day one that holds kids accountable without relying on shame or public comparison. The session is grounded in two core ideas: behavior is communication, and regulation has to come before reasoning. From there, Allie draws a clear line between accountability and shame, and what that distinction actually looks like in a classroom.

The major takeaway is a simple ordering principle teachers can use immediately. Allie covers what this looks like in practice, including private tracking systems, planning regulation tools in advance, and separating the behavior conversation from the moment itself.
