This 35-minute guided standing mindful movement practice is part of the MBSR program – Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
Mindful movement is one of the foundational practices in MBSR.
In this practice, the body becomes the focus of attention as you explore movement, balance, breath and sensation from moment to moment.
The intention is not to push or perform. Instead, you are invited to notice how you meet the experience – perhaps with effort, impatience, resistance, curiosity or ease.
Adapt the movements to your own body and use support such as a chair or wall if helpful.
This practice can be used as part of an MBSR course or as a standalone mindfulness practice.
