Released in December of 2015, Thrilled was a somewhat experimental release that stands apart from much of the Punchline catalog. The album was the product of yet another major shift in the makeup of the band, now leaving only Steve and Chris to write and record as a duo. They leaned heavily into the world of synth pop, once again enlisting the help of producer Marc McClusky to bring their ambitious choices to life. What seemed like a sea change for Punchline in the moment now seems to fit perfectly into the discography, and this episode details how it all came to be.
