Having a plan for your vision will help you create a strong vision. Sharing your vision with others can be beneficial to the success of your vision because it will help you see the potential holes in your vision.
Once you have a vision you need to make sure that you communicate the vision effectively to your team. Remember that you have been living this vision but your team has not. They will need to hear the vision over and over again to really grasp it. Your communication goes beyond the verbal. You communicate your vision in the actions that you take with your team and others.
A strong vision will help ensure that you are leaving a strong legacy for your team, family, etc. As a leader, you should be thinking about who can take over when you are no longer in leadership. You will not be the leader forever and one day someone else will be in your position. Are you leaving a strong legacy for them by having a quality vision that is being lived out by your and your team?
