Serena Williams faced the press for the first time in 4 years at the HSBC
Championships, Queen's Club 2026 — and I got to ask her a question (the last question!). At 44,
she's back. Here's what she said.
I was in the room for Serena Williams' Media Day press conference at Queen's
Club, London, where she confirmed her tennis comeback at the HSBC Championships
2026. Serena received a wildcard to play women's doubles alongside World No.9
Victoria Mboko — 25 years her junior. This is her first competitive tennis
appearance since the 2022 US Open, where she famously said she was "evolving
away" from the sport.
