Rodney Justo was original lead vocalist for Atlanta Rhythm Section starting in 1970–1972, he returned to fill-in for missing vocalists in 1983 and 2008, and then In May 2011, Justo returned to ARS full-time, nearly forty years after his '72 departure. ARS co-founder and keyboardist Dean Daughtry died in Huntsville, Alabama in 2023, of natural causes at age 76, leaving Justo as the last surviving original member. During his career, Juston also collaborated with Roy Orbison, BJ Thomas, Roy Buchanan and others.
