This week on Last to Leave, Zoey Danielson & Heather Elaine Abbott, dive into the world of documentary filmmaking to discussMatter of Time (2025) with the help of the film's director, Matt Finlin. Matter of Time features a string of Eddie Vedder solo concerts in Seattle in 2023 as the backdrop for the film, which chronicles efforts to find a cure for epidermolysis bullosa (EB), a rare genetic disease that can be lethal.

In this episode, Heather & Zoey learn all about the realities of making an indie documentary, discuss the importance of funding scientific research, and are inspired by Matt's work with the EB community & Vedder family. This one is guaranteed to feed the hope machine, film nerds!
