At IBC2026 we speak with Stefan Ledergerber from AMWA about NMOS BCP-008 and how it brings greater visibility to complex IP media workflows.
Stefan explains how BCP-008 extends the NMOS family by allowing devices from different manufacturers to report their operational status in a standardised way. Using a traffic light approach, operators can quickly see whether connections, synchronisation, packet flow and network paths are healthy.
The demonstration shows how multi-vendor systems using SMPTE ST 2110, PTP and ST 2022-7 redundancy can identify faults faster, helping operators build more trusted and manageable IP infrastructures.
