It's been another wild week around here with the Oilers rollercoaster making another loop, and I've got a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never ready to recap it all. On today’s podcast, I discussed the Stanley Cup Final, the Oilers' plan to hire Mike Babcock, the NHLPA asking for an investigation, and more. Needless to say, it's been a busy week around here.
I kicked off this week's episode with a run-through of what's been happening in the Stanley Cup Final and how I really haven't watched more than a few minutes of it. I know everyone keeps saying that this Final has been electric, and the scores certainly suggest that to be true, but I'm still over here holding a grudge about how Edmonton's season ended. Though that grudge isn't exactly softening after the news came out this week that the Oilers are looking at Mike Babcock to be their solution behind the bench. Given Babcock's sketchy past and lack of success in nearly two decades, I think it's fair to say that many Oilers fans were less than thrilled about the idea.
Finally, I wrapped up this week's episode of BLTN with a Righteous Sack Beating about my off-season peace before wrapping up the podcast with another round of voicemails. The voicemail was alive this week, and I had a great time hearing everyone's thoughts on whatever you wanted to talk about. The voicemail is the best way to wrap up the show and give everyone a chance to share their thoughts. Another hearty thank you to everyone who contributed to this week's episode. Having all of you in the mix makes the show so much better. Want to leave a voicemail for next week’s show? Do it here!
