It's been another boring week around here with the Oilers and NHL at large still right in the middle of the off-season dead zone, but I've still got a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never ready what little has happened anyway. On today’s podcast, I discussed the Oilers inching closer to the pre-season, Stan Bowman's pre-season comments, goalie gear, and more. Needless to say, it's been a busy week around here.
I kicked off this week's episode with a look at the Oilers' training camp, and how it's going to be interesting to see how things play out with a condensed tune up schedule. This morning, the organization posted their 56-man training camp roster, which is certainly lighter than what we've seen in the past. But with only four exhibition games to play before the curtain drops on the 2026-27 NHL season, teams around the league will need to speed bag their usual pre-season protocol. Regardless, I could not be more excited.
Finally, I wrapped up this week's episode of BLTN with a quieter round of voicemails that were all over the map, and complete with an array of different topics. Finally, I capped things off with another please for you to join us on the upcoming Nation Vacation to Toronto, and also that you grab your tickets to the RIPNation event at the Pint on September 26th.
