Episode 14 | Crowd Funded Cures | Nicholas Fiorenza & Savva Kerdemelidis | Repurposing off-patent drugs & nutraceuticals, psychedelics & plant medicines with DeSci

Today's guests are Nicholas Fiorenza and Savva Kerdemelidis, founders of Crowd Funded Cures. 

Crowd Funded Cures is a DeSci project of the registered tax-exempt NZ charity, the Medical Prize Charitable Trust. Crowd Funded Cures intends to support the launch of an Impact DAO to crowdfund medical prizes for public good medicines currently ignored by biotech VCs (eg repurposing off-patent drugs & nutraceuticals, psychedelics & plant medicines, diets and lifestyle interventions), who instead focus on the “blockbuster drug” model that incentivises patenting and maximising sales of a single drug.  

With the IP-NFT platform of Molecule , Pay-For-Success smart contracts and Open Source Medical Prize NFTs, Crowd Funded Cures can create a marketplace for funding clinical trial data for public good medicines, without reliance on patents.
