On this episode of the Teachers Off Duty Podcast, Bri, Miss M, and Brandon share their hilarious stories about just a few of the weird, wild and awkward things students will tell them about their families.
No sensitive topic is too out of bounds for kids these days. Relationship drama? What better time to talk about that than math class! What mom and dad really think of each other? Let's pause today's assignment, get into all that mess, then go RIGHT BACK to the assignment! All the while leaving their teacher in a permanent state of shock. And don't get us started on Show and Tell! Spoiler alert: if a child's backpack starts to vibrate... RUN!
But of course we go far beyond a few funny stories. Our panel has an honest conversation ranging from classroom management and the needs of special education, to first-year teacher support and how to keep kids safe online.
Then the crew also opens the Pandora's Box of AI. How best to use it in the classroom, how to make sure students are using it responsibly and what the future of education looks like with AI growing in popularity.
If you're looking for a laugh, or to get into more weighty issues revolving around education, this episode is for you.
