And if our online behavior looks more like the algorithms that reward outrage than the Savior who taught us to love even our enemies, well, then I believe it's time for every one of us to ask a very difficult question. Have we allowed the culture to disciple us more effectively than Christ? Because once death becomes entertainment, we've stopped seeing people as eternal souls. We've started seeing them as content. And in my opinion, that should grieve every single follower of Jesus Christ.
25:50 - If our first instinct when somebody dies is to celebrate instead of grieve, then I don't believe our greatest problem is political. Instead, I believe that our greatest problem is spiritual. And until the heart changes, neither our politics nor our culture ever truly will.
44:20 - "The world doesn't need Christians who are louder than everybody else. It needs Christians who are different. Different in how we think, different in how we speak, different in how we treat people, different in how we respond when tragedy strikes. And believe you me, it will. If our response to death looks no different than the world's response, well, then we've lost something precious.
