Pre-Market Report – Monday 27 July: US markets mixed - Futures better ahead of big week of earnings - SPI up 48 - Ceasefire talks? Oil dumped!

Wall St ended mixed Friday, off best levels, capping a second straight week of declines. Dow Jones up 236 points. S&P 500 flat. Nasdaq down 0.64%. Russell 2000 down 0.35%. Breadth positive by more than 2:1, with equal-weight outperforming the cap-weighted index by ~80bp. VIX down 0.64%. It was Big Chips turn to face the selling pressure while the Mag7 were not able to bounce as a whole.

ASX set to bounce on Monday. SPI futures up 48 points.

US Futures up 0.5 - 1% ahead of Fed and big week of earnings.
