You followed someone, your feed came from those connections, and reach was a property of your account. The new model is an interest graph, where a system tries to match a subject to a person who cares about that subject. What that changes for an adult creator business: your post needs one obvious subject identifiable in the first second, your caption is a classification signal rather than an inside joke, a low view count is a bad draw rather than a verdict, and the content that brings strangers in is not the content that converts them.
