He believed in God. He had seen God work. But somewhere along the way, he stopped relying on him. And what followed is one of the most sobering warnings in the Bible.

In this message, Ps Mark Collard walks through the story of King Asa in 2 Chronicles and draws out a warning that is as relevant today as it was then. The danger is not that we stop believing in God. It's that we stop relying on him. Ps Mark unpacks three things that happen when we shift from trusting God to trusting our own ability: we miss out on bigger victories, we miss out on God's strengthening hand, and we postpone the test rather than pass it. This message closes with one of the most honest invitations to fully surrender and say, God, I trust in you alone.
