The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Underwater Recovery Team (U.R.T.) is responsible for more than 90 miles of coastline as they respond to various emergency, safety and investigative missions. Lt. Chad Barton, who is the dive team commander, sits down with us to talk about what it takes to be part of the team and the important work they do to keep the public safe during big events in the Lowcountry--- all in this episode of The Beat podcast, a conversation about the Charleston County Sheriff's Office and our beautiful South Carolina community.
