We were always going to have to wait a few years (after the previously-promised Christmas special!) for new Doctor Who on TV, and maybe with a new team behind it - whoever that might be - we'll soon get to see a fresh creative take on our favourite show.
Or is the bitter pill of RTD's message to fans still sticking in the craw like an unwanted fishbone, making all of this very difficult to swallow?
While the future may seem uncertain, the legacy of the show remains strong, and Doctor Who is more than just a TV show, right? Could embracing creativity and community engagement help sustain the love for Doctor Who during its latest hiatus?
