255. God Isn't Finished With You Yet | Trusting Him When the Vision Isn't Clear

Dela

It's August. The rain is hitting the iron railing outside his Brooklyn window. And after 11 hotels, a sublet that ends in a few weeks, and a July where he was gone every single weekend — Norense sits down to be honest about the questions he doesn't have answers to yet.

Where's he going to live? Is he doing enough? Is he spending too much time in the Word, or not enough? This episode is a free-flowing, unfiltered reflection on what it means to keep going when the vision isn't fully defined — anchored in one unshakable truth: the God who started the work in you is faithful to finish it.

Norense traces the through-line of a whirlwind month — his sister's memorial, a brand trip in Silicon Valley, a family wedding, and a Texas Tech alumni weekend — and realizes God was showing him something the whole time: that he's a bridge. Between people. Between worlds. Between the person he was and the person he's becoming.

He also gets vulnerable about vices, sexual purity, and the honest truth about addiction — that the things we run to never satisfy, and only surrender does.

In this episode:

  • Why Philippians 1:6 is the anchor for any season where you can't see the full picture yet
  • The danger of building your identity around how you feel each day — and what to do with your emotions instead
  • How to recognize the "through-line" God is weaving through your different seasons and spaces
  • Why shared sacrifice creates a sense of belonging that nothing else can replicate
  • The honest truth about vices: alcohol, drugs, women, gaming, hustling, even fitness — none of it satisfies
  • Why you can't stop an addiction on your own — and what actually changes when you receive Christ
  • The stories of Paul and Moses — and why God redeems, restores, and re-commissions
  • Why testing and temptation are the forging fire that prepares you for war

Key Truth: "He who started a good work in you is faithful to see it to completion — but He needs a willing, yielding mind. You can't just sit on your hands."

Key Verse: Philippians 1:6 — Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
