This is a rewind back to Season 1: In 1946, Suzanne Degnan was six years old and living in Chicago with her parents and older sister Betty. The night before she was supposed to return to school following Christmas vacation, Suzanne disappeared out of her window in the middle of the night. Under intense nationwide scrutiny, the Chicago Police Department worked around the clock to catch the killer. Did they arrest the right person or were they simply trying to close the case?
