This was our very first Substack Live together, yay! We wanted to get together to discuss our recent buddy read, THE WHISPER NETWORK by Chandler Baker and we had a lot of thoughts about this story.
If you’re not familiar with the book, it’s a mystery set in Dallas, about a group of women lawyers whose male boss, Ames, is known for being a sexual harasser, even though nothing is ever done about it. There’s a spreadsheet going around about “bad men” who have harassed women and Ames gets added to it. And thus sets off a chain of events where Ames ends up dead. But the mystery is - did he kill himself? Was it a tragic accident? Or was it murder? Dun dun DUN!
