Amy Lacey shares her journey from a traumatic childhood—marked by an attempted abortion, an alcoholic father, a rage-filled home, running away at 12, foster care, and a sexual assault—to later healing through therapy, EMDR, and faith.
After being diagnosed with lupus and Sjogren’s in 2015, she created a cauliflower pizza crust to reduce inflammation and restore family traditions; despite going $269,000 in debt, a viral story about a single mom and her nonverbal autistic daughter helped the business explode, reaching $5.3M in 2017 sales and becoming a top Amazon pizza crust.
Following the 2018 Camp Fire and a venture capital deal that removed her as CEO and altered the product, she relocated her family to Florida, faced depression and flares, and later built a new soursop-based wellness brand while emphasizing trauma release, mindful eating, inflammation awareness, and forgiveness.
