Ted Bundy: Before He Became a Monster — Part 1

Everybody knows the name Ted Bundy. But before he became one of America's most infamous serial killers, he was Theodore Robert Cowell.

In Part One of this six-part series, we go back to the beginning — Bundy's childhood, his complicated family history, his early relationships, education and ambitions, and the years before his name became synonymous with murder.

Over six episodes, we'll follow the crimes, investigation, escapes, trials and final confessions — but this isn't going to be six episodes celebrating the mythology of Ted Bundy.

Everybody remembers Ted. It's time we remembered his victims.
