Child's Play, Child's Play, Child's Play (1954, 1972, 1992)

Welcome to CHUCKYVISION, a podcast about the horror franchise Child's Play/Chucky, the surrounding culture, and other killer doll films.

Having done 80+ episodes of Child's Play Minute, we have even more to say on Child's Play... but not the 1988 horror classic. No, we've found three other films with the same title that crop up time and time again when searching for our familiar Chucky.

A 1954 comedic romp through the British countryside as rebellious kids in black and white build their own atomic bomb.

A 1972 psychological thriller from Sidney Lumet about weird evil kids forgoten between Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist.

And a 1992 bleak as all Hell slice of life drama about a poor German kid who endures neither of his divorcing parents wanting him.

Can we find any links between the three and whether they have anything in common with our favourite killer doll film? It's tenuous at best. Do we find any enjoyment in watching these films for a gimmick episode is the better question, and the answers may surprise you.
