The Hasan Piker-pocalypse

Hasan Piker is in the news once again, this time, for a “controversial” statement he made about antisemitism. This statement, that was no different than statements made uncontroversially by Ezra Klein, Haley Stevens, and Neera Tanden, drew condemnations from a wide variety of Democratic officials. From presidential hopefuls like Elissa Slotkin and Jon Ossoff to DNC chair Ken Martin, there has been a coordinated effort to disparage Hasan Piker. So much of this general election cycle has been eaten up by Hasan Piker discourse that voters are being robbed of a chance to learn about the two candidates that will actually be on the ballot: Mike Rogers and Abdul El-Sayed. Oh also, Trump started a brand new trade war with Canada for no reason.
