At the Nursery World Show in London, Matt got the opportunity to talk with Julian Grenier - Headteacher, Author, and Development Matters Lead.

Julian shed some light on when we should expect to see the new EYFS Development Matters, why this update to the EYFS is needed, and who it will impact. Some other topics that they discussed were the issue of blurred lines and confusion between assessment and curriculum in the early years, why early years assessment shouldn’t be a checklist and how to focus assessment on the children who need it most.
