What if the voices heard by people diagnosed with schizophrenia aren’t hallucinations? Jerry Marzinsky spent 35 years in psychiatric hospitals, prisons, and emergency rooms, and he did what almost no one in his field would: he asked the voices what they wanted.
What they told him led him somewhere psychiatry won’t go: entity attachment, demonic possession, and what it means if our thoughts aren’t always our own. Roger and Tracy share the interview, their own reflections, and an experience in their own home they can’t explain any other way.
About Jerry Marzinsky:
Jerry is a retired licensed psychotherapist with more than 35 years of experience studying the thought processes and voices of psychotic and criminally insane patients in some of the nation’s most volatile psychiatric institutions. A recipient of the State of Arizona’s Meritorious Service Award and Pima College’s Apple Award for teaching, he is co-author of An Amazing Journey into The Psychotic Mind – Breaking the Spell of the Ivory Tower. He is also a commercial pilot, scuba diver, and long-distance motorcycle rider.
