KENNETH FERRONE is a director and Emmy-nominated producer known for bringing ambitious, large-scale productions to life. As producer, Kenneth has been behind landmark live television events, including the Emmy-winning Grease Live!, Rent, and Annie Live! In scripted television, he has produced the series SMASH, Rise, Ironside, and Deception on NBC, and he has overseen global production for Echo 3 on Apple TV+. His work extends to feature film (Poor Behavior), immersive experiences (Broadway 4D), and award-winning shorts (Hey Beautiful).
On stage, Kenneth has built a dynamic career directing and developing original musicals and boldly imagined new works. He directed the world premiere of The Wanderer, and the musical adaptation of Prelude to a Kiss. His credits include the Off-Broadway hit Rolling Thunder, the first national tour of Cruel Intentions: The 90’s Musical, and collaborations on projects ranging from intimate new works to major productions in development for Broadway, including a slate of new musicals, most notably Charming and Better Days.
He has also been a key creative force behind acclaimed Broadway productions as the associate director of SpongeBob SquarePants, Floyd Collins, Mother Play, Redwood, and Love Letters. His Off-Broadway directing work includes Sistas, Lucie Pohl: Hi, Hitler, and Colin Quinn’s The New York Story.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Kenneth is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, the Producers Guild of America, and the Television Academy. He is based in New York City and Los Angeles.
