Happy Thursday! The legendary Kardinal Offishall drops by to chop it up with the guys about his new album “Firestarter Volume 2”. Kardi introduces us to some Jamaican microphone etiquette, before sharing stories about coming up in Toronto’s hip hop scene as a dancehall inspired rapper. He also speaks on the creation of the “Grindin’” Remix, going to high school with some of the most talented producers in Toronto, and being a part of Rihanna’s first album. The guys discuss Canadian rappers that they wish got more love, the early days of Konvict Music, and independence vs. being signed to a major. We wrap up with Kardi’s top 5 Canadian artists, and a quick story about the time where he heard Michael Jackson’s real voice. “Firestarter Volume 2”, by Kardinal Offishall is available now!
