In Episode #126 of the Anderson Overland Podcast, Joey and Jenna sit down with Roman, creator of Ghost Subie Adventures, to talk about his philosophy of “Preparedness Without Panic.” Roman shares how his U.S. Army background shaped his approach to everyday preparedness, vehicle-based EDC, fieldcraft, and family adventures.
We also dive into his daily-driven 2022 Subaru Forester, “the Ghost,” and how he’s built a capable overland and preparedness vehicle without an insane budget or dedicated expedition rig. From camping with kids and choosing the right gear to developing practical skills for unexpected situations, this episode is all about being better prepared for both adventure and everyday life.
