The hobbits return home to the exact opposite of rest and relaxation. There are ruffians and shirrifs and some no-good-evil-doing guy named Sharkey calling the shots?! This was one of the best chapters in the series, in Tori's humble opinion. It has themes and messaging that I think can still be applied to today and my god do Sam, Frodo, Merry and Pippin stand up for their home!!
