Autonomous Vessels for Amsterdam's Canals: Rethinking Urban Infrastructure with Roboat

Dela

Imagine a self-driving boat bringing you through the canals of Amsterdam. The Roboat project aims to make that a reality. Roboat is a development collaboration between the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In developing the world's first fleet of autonomous floating vessels for the city of Amsterdam, it investigates the potential of self-driving technology to change our cities and their waterways.  In this episode of The Other 70%, Ynse Deinema, ROBOAT Project Manager, discusses the potential for autonomous boats to reshape the way we think about urban infrastructure.
