The three conversations that Jesus has with the rich young ruler, the disciples, and then individually with Peter are used not only to help us define how to get into heaven but also serve as another point that often times our perception is not the same as God. For the Rich young ruler it was Good, the disciples it was salvation, and for Peter was being a disciple. God is patient and God works in us. Mark 10:17-31
