California pays 270 people to investigate Medicaid fraud. In 2024 they returned 32 indictments. Arizona pays 33 people and returned 82.

Federal Medicaid recoveries went from 1.4B to 2B. CMS withheld 351M from Minnesota and 1.3B from California. Alabama employs seven fraud investigators. Minnesota employs 28.
