Today I am talking to the wonderful Reverend Brooke Scott, who, I owe an apology to. Because this episode was recorded so long ago she was not yet a rev. And now she is the pastor of a whole ass church called Church on Main, she has had articles written about how radically inclusive she is, she’s amazing and super smart. You may recognize her from her appearances on the TLDR Bible show podcast where she says really smart things and I learned a lot from listening to her. I also learned a lot from this conversation. We talk about Brooke’s call to ministry, what it’s like coming out of evangelical spaces into a more queer inclusive faith, we bond a little bit over our mutually deceased parents, and why cheap Christian platitudes are not helpful for grieving or healing.
