A 60-year-old female with a history of type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, and hypercalcemia complicated by recurrent nephrolithiasis and recurrent urinary tract infections presents to the emergency department from her urology appointment with a blood pressure of 80/34 mmHg. Over the past few months, she has also experienced a 60 lb weight loss, shortness of breath, and generalized fatigue. She was admitted to the hospital where her lab tests were notable for hypercalcemia (16.6 mg/dL), elevated alkaline phosphatase (305 U/L), aspartate aminotransferase (52 U/L), alanine aminotransferase (24 U/L), and total bilirubin (0.8 mg/dL).
