Audio reading: Jer 42:1-44:23, 2 Tim 2:1-21, Psalm 92:1-93:5, Prov 26:2-5

There is an amazing prophecy that we are going to unpack today, found in Jeremiah 31: 35-37

Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar (The LORD of hosts is His name):

“If those ordinances depart From before Me, says the LORD, Then the seed of Israel shall also cease From being a nation before Me forever.”

Thus says the LORD:

“If heaven above can be measured, And the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel For all that they have done, says the LORD.

We look at the stunning  prophecy that  reveals God's assurance of Israel’s enduring nationhood for all eternity.

We reflect on Israel’s rebirth in 1948, and a contemporary note on recent events reminding us to keep our eyes on Israel and Jerusalem.
