Then it gets real as Daniel walks through both of his kids' births in full detail, including his wife losing 1.5 liters of blood, a stuck placenta, an hour and a half alone with a newborn not knowing if his wife was alive, and his wife shockingly coming back into the room like "let's have two more." He has not forgiven her.
