In 1996, Joel Chernoff received a prophetic word in his quiet time: over a million Jewish people would flee Eastern Europe and Russia to Israel in a time of great trouble. God was calling the messianic community, in partnership with Christians worldwide, to prepare.
What followed was 25 years of building in faith. Today, the Joseph Project International is the number one importer of humanitarian aid in the State of Israel, with over $180 million distributed across more than 104 containers from Christian partners around the world.
When October 7 happened, Joel and his wife Miriam were in Israel. They woke up to the war with $3 million in stored aid ready to deploy. His trucks were at the front within 24 hours.
In this conversation with Laurie Cardoza-Moore, Joel shares the full story — where the Joseph Project came from, what they're building next, and why he believes October 7 was only a rehearsal for something far larger.
