Gabby was just five years old when she noticed a problem that had frustrated families for years: traditional hair barrettes simply would not stay in place.
Rather than accept it, she decided to solve it. With help from her parents, Gabby developed a tighter, stronger, more durable barrette designed to actually stay put.
By the time she was eight, Gabby's Bows had landed on Walgreens shelves across her home state of South Carolina. Then, just as the business was gaining momentum, she lost the account.
Instead of giving up, Gabby kept going. She shifted her focus online, continued building the brand, and turned an early setback into an even bigger opportunity.
Today, Gabby's Bows can be found in Target stores across the country, proving that a simple idea, combined with persistence and a willingness to keep improving, can grow into something much bigger.
