Imagine moving to NYC to build a better life for your family, only to end up renting a room from the worst fake landlord imaginable. That is the exact nightmare 27 year old Chinelle Browne walked into in Brooklyn.
Chinelle, a loving mom of four from Guyana, was hustling to get established in New York so her husband and kids could move over. She rented a room in Brownsville, but quickly realized the place was a dump with no hot water or reliable electricity. What she did not know was that her 42 year old landlord, Leah Cuevas, did not even own the building. She was running a shady scam and pocketing cash after the real owner died.
On July 5, 2014, Chinelle confronted her and refused to pay rent for afor a house Leah didnt even own, Leah snapped. The argument turned violent, and Leah stabbed Chinelle over 30 times before chopping up her body and scattering her remains across Long Island.
